Job Summary:

We are looking for a results-driven Floor Coverings & Draperies Shop Manager to oversee our high-end custom window treatment division. This role requires a leader with proven expertise in managing sales teams, business coordination, and client relations in a luxury goods market. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategies to drive sales growth, managing client relationships, and coordinating with international suppliers to ensure top-quality service.

This position is ideal for an individual with a background in high value business and sales, bringing perspective and an innovative approach to managing our window treatment operations. The Window Treatment Sales and Business Manager will play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and execution of our sales initiatives while managing a team of sales associates to achieve business objectives. Familiarity working with international clients will be a plus as we have a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales associates to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional service.
  • Develop training programs and performance evaluation metrics to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the sales team.
  • Provide strategic direction and support to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

2. Sales Strategy and Business Development:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies for the window treatment division to increase market share and profitability.
  • Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends in the high-end window treatment and home decor markets.
  • Create detailed sales forecasts and set performance goals for the team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, designers, and contractors to promote brand loyalty and repeat business.

3. Business Coordination and Operations Management:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the business and international suppliers to coordinate product orders, logistics, and installations.
  • Oversee all documentation related to sales contracts, vendor agreements, and client communication to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with other departments, such as marketing and finance, to streamline operations and enhance client experiences.
  • Manage the logistics and delivery schedule of window treatment installations, ensuring a smooth and timely process for all clients.

4. Client Relations and Customer Service:

  • Serve as the point of escalation for any client concerns or issues, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct site visits and consultations with high-end clients to understand their needs and recommend tailored window treatment solutions.
  • Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to showcase our offerings and highlight the benefits of our custom window treatments.

5. Financial and Compliance Management:

  • Oversee financial transactions and documentation, including letters of credit and bank guarantees, ensuring all processes adhere to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Develop budgets for the window treatment division and monitor financial performance to achieve revenue and profit targets.
  • Manage supplier contracts and negotiate favorable terms to optimize profitability and maintain high product quality standards.

6. Marketing and Promotion:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and in-store events to drive foot traffic and sales.
  • Create content for brochures, presentations, and online platforms to enhance the visibility of our window treatment offerings.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with local interior designers and home improvement professionals to expand the division’s market reach.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Additional certifications in sales management or business administration are preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in sales management or business coordination within a luxury goods or home decor industry.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate a sales team to achieve ambitious sales goals.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM software, and project management tools. Experience in managing import/export logistics and financial documentation is preferred.

Communication Skills: Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Personal Attributes: Highly organized, strategic thinker, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be adaptable, proactive, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with luxury home goods, window treatments, or high-end interior design products.
  • Familiarity with both Canadian and international markets, with the ability to navigate and adapt business strategies accordingly.
  • Bilingual abilities, particularly in Arabic, Hindi, or another language relevant to international business, are an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Regular office hours with occasional travel to client sites and North American supplier locations.
  • This position may require flexibility to accommodate different times when liaising with suppliers and clients that might be working off hours or located in different time zones.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Pay: $32.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 44 per week
