About the Artist:
Since retiring, paiting has become an integral part of my life. I started painting in oils and I have found that this medium results in a very rich image. I have also used acrylics and I enjoy working with them as well.
When I paint, I lose a sense of time and I feel that I am transported into another dimension. I would highly recommend painting to anyone.
When I started, the empty canvas frightened me but when my first painting was finished, I could hardly beleive what I had created. Inside each of us there is an artist waiting to come out.
I have had paintings on display at the Galerie du Nouvel-Ontario. Bertolo's Cafe, Vale Hospice, Backstreet Gallery in Nocelville, Howard Johnson, the Sudbury Art Club, Theatre Cambrian, Sudbury Theatre Centre. Two of my paintings will also be on display at Living with Lakes as part of the Picture Our Lakes exhibit. I have done private commisions for birthdays and other special occasions.
