CanadaExcellent paint , covers very well
CanadaI painted two different bathrooms with Aura Bath and Spa. The paint is thick, and the colour holds up excellent. I have painted with so many different brands of paint in the past and Aura paint is definitely my favourite paint to use. It just goes onto the wall so nicely and consistently. It barely ever drips and covers so well. However, I am not sure if I like the matte finish. I'm a bit sad that the Bath and Spa paint only comes in matte finish. Before I knew about this paint, I used to paint bathrooms with pearl. What I have noticed with the two bathrooms that I painted with Aura Bath and Spa (one a bright blue and one a light grey) is that any water splatter is SO visible on the wall. The wall below the light switch and also below the hand towel has tones of water drips/lines from wet hands splashing. I have NEVER noticed this problem on our walls before I used this paint in these two bathrooms. This is my biggest disappointment with this paint. Why does the matte finish show these water spots so clearly? Water splashing when drying hands is obviously a normal occurrence in bathrooms, and this paint is the special paint designed for bathrooms, so you would think that this issue would have been considered in creating the paint and finish. The water spots are easy to wash off, but I don't want to be washing my walls every week. I never had to do this with the previous pearl or eggshell finish paint that I have always had in bathrooms before Aura Bath and Spa became a thing. So, I love the paint in general, but the water-drop displaying finish is a major disappointment.
CanadaWe picked a golden yellow for a small dark bathroom, and the paint quality was amazing and the colour perfect. The direction said to put on 2 coats, but the quality after just the first coat was great. Nice paint!
